
MONTREAL – The Canadiens have selected Kaiden Guhle with the 16th-overall pick at the 2020 NHL Draft.

Guhle, a native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, is coming off his third season with the Prince Albert Raiders in the WHL. In 2019-20, he scored 11 goals for 40 points to go along with a plus-23 differential in 64 games. He was the co-recipient of the Raiders’ Defenseman of the Year award for 2019-20.
The 6-foot-2, 186-pound rearguard skated in 23 games for the Raiders in the 2019 playoffs, helping the Raiders to the WHL championship. He was the co-recipient of Prince Albert’s Rookie of the Year honor for the 2018-19 season after scoring three goals for 17 points and recording a plus-17 differential in 65 games.
